Shirani M. Pathak teaches you how to have amazing relationships by doing one simple thing: dismantling supremacy’s internalized oppression and conditioning. Though it’s simple, it may not be easy. Tune in to learn how perfectionism, imposter syndrome, judgement, criticism, comparison (aka comparisonitis), fear of failure, inadequacy and the “not enoughs” hold you back from the amazing relationships you desire. In this podcast I‘m illuminating how what you‘re feeling is a result of what we’ve been programmed to believe living under supremacy culture’s systems of oppression, and offer solutions to help you heal from supremacy‘s sneaky conditioning. I cover topics of racism, relationships, emotional intelligence, relational intelligence, neuroscience, the nervous system, intergenerational trauma, epigenetics, spirituality, authentic leadership, alcoholism, addiction, abuse, violence and so much more. S3E4: 5000 Years of Trauma
Thursday Oct 07, 2021
Thursday Oct 07, 2021
Supremacy culture began long ago before the Middle Ages and Euro colonization. This is when white body supremacy culture began, but the pattern of supremacy culture has been with us since the first known recorded civilization, the ancient Sumerian civilization. That is over 5000 years of trauma that lives in our body and our DNA. It’s time we heal it!
In today’s episode, we cover:
- Being vulnerable and speaking up
- The pattern of supremacy culture goes 5000 years back
- How do we heal 5000+ years of trauma?
- Pause. Breathe. Notice. Regulate.
Quotes
[00:04:45] Supremacy culture doesn't do vulnerability and supremacy culture sure as heck does not want you to speak up and speak out about the f*ck up shit that it does.
[00:06:16] So that I could do what I'm here to do. And that is to illuminate and speak up against all these ways that for more than 5000 years supremacy culture has traumatized us, conditioned us and programmed us and quite frankly, has created the world that we see today, a world where hate is spread like wildfire.
[00:09:28] The Middle Ages with Euro colonization was not when supremacy culture began. That's when white body supremacy culture began, but the pattern of supremacy culture has been with us since the first known recorded civilization, the ancient Sumerian civilization.
[00:14:05] But really, that person who believes themselves to be superior or that group that believes themselves to be superior, what they're operating from is an intense amount of fear. Because if you're better than someone and someone is worse than you, then that means that somewhere out there in the world, someone else might be better than you and you might be inferior to someone else. And so, you do whatever it takes to ensure that nobody else ever is “powerful” enough to conquer you and be superior to you.

S3E3: Recovering from Failure
Thursday Sep 30, 2021
Thursday Sep 30, 2021
Supremacy culture wants us to stay disconnected. It wants us to stay in shame, so that we don't speak, so that we don't share. But you know what supremacy culture? You don't win this one. In today’s episode, Shirani explains how she got back up after feeling completely burnt out last year, and how her realization that she was building her business from a place of fear and trauma response turned everything around.
In today’s episode, we cover:
- Failure to launch that resulted in a crash and burn
- Mental, emotional and spiritual reorganization
- Our traumas are encoded in our DNA
- Committing to Higher Power and healing 5000+ years’ worth of trauma
Quotes
[00:05:58] People who are doing the work, people who have the knowledge, we can still fall victim to supremacy’s conditioning popping up at any time. And that's the really tricky part about this work, that it's not a one and done. This is a constant continual practice; it is a constant continual process.
[00:06:53] Supremacy culture wants us to stay disconnected. It wants me to stay in shame, so that I don't speak about this, so I don't share about this. But you know what supremacy culture? F*uck you, you don't win. You don't win this one. My listeners, my community, my people, the world, they need to hear this.
[00:11:33] And what came to me, this huge awareness, was that for the prior seven years of trying to build my business, I had been doing it from a total trauma response, like I had been doing it from a mode of survival
[00:17:05] One thing I can say for certain is that I know with my entire heart, body, spirit, soul...all of me, every single cell knows that my work is about more than simply dismantling supremacy culture. It is actually about healing 5000 plus years’ worth of trauma that we have inflicted upon one another and ourselves in all of these crimes and violent acts that we've participated in, experienced and perpetuated in our relationships with ourselves, with the Divine and with each other.

Join her in today’s episode as she explains the origin of what she refers to as the original relationship rupture and see why 7,000 years later we are still fighting over the same thing!
In today’s episode, we cover:
- The writing process for Fierce Authenticity 2.0: Supremacy’s Impact on Our Relationships
- The original relationship rupture; we’re still fighting over the same thing
- The suffering of humanity over the last 7,000 years
- How you can become a part of Fierce Authenticity Movement
Quotes
[00:07:54] The patterns of racism are the same as the patterns of any other -ism: alcoholism, sexism, classism, perfectionism. It's all the same pattern.
[00:16:25] So, when we say that all this started 7000 years ago, and because of the fact that it was never addressed, is why we see it worse and worse and worse. We've only been looking at symptoms, we haven't been looking at the cause.
[00:18:40] They were property. People that were not European and Christian were not considered human, and that's where white body supremacy started.

S3E1: Healing Racism with guest Milagros Phillips
Thursday Sep 16, 2021
Thursday Sep 16, 2021
Welcome back to a brand new season of The Fierce Authenticity Podcast! We begin this new season with a bang.
In today’s episode, Shirani is joined by Milagros Phillips. Milagros is delivering transformative programs and creating space to engage in difficult conversations. From corporate leaders to members of Congress, Milagros designs strategic learning programs for clients seeking to enhance equity and inclusion by adding race literacy to their EI initiatives.
Today, Shirani and Milagros dive deep into the topic of healing racism and Milagros generously shares her story, parts of herself and her process, her journey as well as what makes healing racism so important in our world.
In today’s episode, we cover:
● Healing racism is a personal journey
● Racism is a problem for people of color, it is not the problem of people of color
● We are enough to transform a dysfunctional system
● The work of healing racism is the work of relationships
● We're supposed to be learning from one another, everyone has gifts to offer
Quotes
[00:12:10] It always ultimately comes down to our relationships: with ourselves, with Source and with others and how everything that we have experienced impacts us on a personal and interpersonal level.
[00:18:15] I look at racism from the perspective of the family model, the dysfunctional family model, because we're one human family, right? And you may not like the cousins, but they’re still your cousins. It is what it is.
[00:18:51] Racism is a white problem. Racism is a problem for people of color, it is not the problem of people of color. So, whites have to solve the racism piece.
[00:31:10] And that also goes for white people, because they think that only people of color have been victimized by racism, they don't realize that they're oppressed too, it’s just that their oppression is hidden behind privilege so they don't even see it. And neither does anybody else.
[00:43:41] The work of racism is the work of relationships.
[00:51:12] Do the work, you're worthy. You're more than worthy of clearing this stuff, so that you can find that essence of love of all humanity that lives inside of you

Pre-Season Review: Intergenerational Trauma with Dr. B. Nilaja Green

Our pre-publication supporters campaign for Fierce Authenticity 2.0: Supremacy's Impact on Our Relationships is well underway and our first contributors have joined the movement!

In today's episode we're revisiting the conversation between Shirani and Dr. B. Nilaja Green on racism, supremacy, and intergenerational trauma. A big part of where we're headed with Fierce Authenticity 2.0 has to do with the fact that much of the trauma we're currently experiencing and the ways we've adapted to that trauma, has to do with what our ancestors felt and experienced, and that includes the effects of racism, which has its roots in supremacy culture.
We talked about this briefly in last week's nervous system episode, and in this rich conversation, we're taking it even further, including conversations around the enslavement of Black bodied people, Juneteenth, and the continued violence against Black bodies in America.
Tune in and let us know what you think!

Pre-Season Review: Collective Trauma and You
Thursday Aug 19, 2021
Thursday Aug 19, 2021
Before we dive into today's episode I have some very exiting news:
I am cordially inviting you to join me in community to support and uplift the message of Fierce Authenticity by becoming an early supporter of the publication of my new book, Fierce Authenticity 2.0: Supremacy's Impact on Our Relationships!!!
Imagine a world that's free from the detrimental effects of believing that there are some who are superior and others who are inferior. Imagine a world that's free from the ways we get ourselves into patterns of "better than/ less than" that usurp our personal power and keep us oppressed. Imagine a world that's free from the "right-wrong" polarization we see in society.
Fierce Authenticity 2.0 will open your eyes to the science behind why we do what we do, how we keep ourselves in oppressive patterns, the behaviors you participate in that are detrimental to your relationships and well-being, as well as equip you with powerful tools that support you in undoing supremacy's harmful conditioning on you and your relationships.
As an early supporter of the publication of the forthcoming book, you're saying "YES" to joining a movement to deeply understand and eradicate the effects of supremacy culture's conditioning on us and our relationships. Effects which include: racism, sexism, perfectionism, comparisonitis, the "not enoughs", the hustle to achieve and so much more.
When you understand where these patterns came from, how it's been encoded into your nervous system and your DNA, how it shows up on the day to day in your relationships, you get to awaken to and rise above supremacy's inherited systemic invasion rooted in fear and lack so that you can refocus your energy towards reclaiming a fiercely authentic personal relationship that's grounded in an abundance and love that is so radiant all your other relationships are elevated with you.
Visit www.shiranimpathak.com/fierceauthenticity to join me on this movement!
-----
Now, today we're doing our second pre-season review to help you in understanding collective trauma: what it is and how it impacts your DNA.
Do not skip this review! It sets some of the groundwork for where we're headed.
